Roy Hodgson has insisted the mindset at Crystal Palace has changed and they won’t have to sell players anymore to raise funds for transfers.
Palace have produced a number of sparkling performance over the years and have become strong as a club. The addition of Wilfried Zaha has given the London giants a new dimension and Zaha has been a game changer for the Eagles.
The resurgence of Zaha has linked him with a number of clubs. The former Manchester United forward has been one of the most prominent faces of the Premier League and has been carrying the club on his shoulder.
Hodgson said, “If anything, we need to strengthen our squad, not weaken it.
“At this time of year there will be questions to answer every day because someone, somewhere will be linking players with another club. I accept that as part of the modern football world.
“We will deal with that and keep our business to ourselves – I am not one to go out and individually discuss other players all the time.
“I am sometimes amused to see players linked with other clubs where I don’t see any connection whatsoever but on occasions you have to think, ‘maybe they have heard a rumour and they’re not so far off’.”
