Ryan Giggs believes Gareth Bale’s game time will not be curtailed following the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
Bale has been linked with a number of clubs including a spectacular return to the Premier League with Manchester United. The Welsh winger was backed to fill the void of Cristiano Ronaldo but has failed miserably to live up to the expectation.
His persistent injury problems have been a severe headache for Los Blancos while the former Tottenham Hotspur forward also has struggled to settle himself in the Spanish capital.
Zidane’s arrival could complicate things as the French man doesn’t seem to favour Bale much. He left the Welsh man out of the Champions League final last season which infuriated Bale.
But Giggs insists Bale will have ample chances to prove his worth. “I think Gareth was playing up until that Champions League final. I think Gareth will play enough games, especially as the Brazilian lad (Vinicius Junior) has just been injured.
“I don’t know what he is thinking but in the past he has always said he has been happy.
“Even when he has been criticised and things have gone wrong or not gone right – he has always been happy there.”
