Supports have been pouring in for Jose Mourinho’s following Manchester United’s erratic start to the campaign and the latest to join the list is Ryan Giggs.
The Wales manager has backed the Portugal manager to get rid of the current mess at the club. Mourinho’s future had been the subject of speculation but United’s excellent comeback victory against Newcastle United in the Premier League has eased the situation a bit.
With fixtures against Chelsea, Juventus and Manchester City lining up ahead it could be a now or never moment for the manager who seems to have the backing of the United board despite their worst start to the current campaign.
United are currently five points adrift of fourth placed Arsenal and it seems they might be running for a top four spot as challenging for the title is not imminently possible given the current scenario at the club.
Giggs said, “No, I don’t believe that,” he said. “I believe they have got a top manager at the club, they have got good players, and at the moment it is a challenge.
“The quality is there – the firepower is there to go out and to get the top players. But without a shadow of a doubt there are a few things that need fixing.
“Yeah he can (fix them) he is a top manager, but the pressure won’t go away until we start climbing the table.”
