West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has developed as a Liverpool focus point as the Reds look to offload Mario Balotelli.

the 24-year-old Senegal forward has joined Brendan Rodgers’ short-list of potential Balotelli replacement.

Sakho has hit the ground running in the Premier League, scoring eight times in ten matches since a ÂŁ4.4m move from French club Metz in the mid year.

Berahino is estimated at ÂŁ25m by West Bromwich Albion and Martinez would likewise charge a huge expense, in spite of the fact that his bosses has made it clear he won’t be leaving Portugal in January.

Liverpool have a late reputation of using players who have inspired for brief times – Dejan Lovren and Andy Carroll being two examples – so it is not unimaginable that they could move for Sakho or Berahino.

Balotelli’s form has been poor, with just two goals to his name this season its looks as if there is a guarantee Rodgers will look to offload him in January if conceivable.

AND With Daniel Sturridge still out harmed and Divock Origi staying on at Lille until next summer, the Italian may stay at Anfield longer and be given an opportunity to prove himself worthy to Afield outfit.
