Liverpool legend Phil Thompsonn has claimed that Chile international Alexis Sanchez made a mistake rejecting Liverpool for Arsenal.
Sanchez completed a £30million move to the Emirates yesterday, turning down interest from Liverpool to join the Gunners. But Thompson says the winger made a bad choice in choosing them over a move to Anfield.
“Sanchez doesn’t know what he’s missing by not joining Liverpool,” he told Sky Sports News, ‘The passion, power and worldwide recognition of Liverpool is strong.’
Thompson was made to look a little silly by the move after saying that a move for Sanchez to Liverpool was a done deal a couple of weeks ago.
