Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez limped off during the 3-0 victory against Manchester United
The Chile international was substituted in the 80th minute for Kieran Gibbs, clutching his groin.
Sanchez scored two goals at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday as the hosts established a 3-0 lead inside the opening 20 minutes – Mesut Ozil also finding the back of the net.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted Sanchez did have a slight issue with his groin and is hoping he will come through the international break unscathed.
“He has a little groin problem,” he said. “Unfortunately he goes to Chile. You cannot stop him from going to Chile and he loves so much to play for his country.”
“He will play against Brazil [on Friday] and Peru [next] Tuesday so the game at home against Brazil he will not want to miss. Hopefully he will come back in good shape.”
Arsenal eye Besiktas midfielder
Oguzhan Ozyakup, 23, is a player which Wenger has cited as a possible transfer target when the transfer window opens in January.
Ozyakup is a player Wenger knows well – the Turkey international won the FA Youth Cup in 2008-09 and two Premier Academy League titles during a four-year spell with the Gunners.
However, he failed to break into the senior team, making just one appearance in a League Cup tie against Shrewsbury Town before leaving the club in 2012 for £500,000.
Besitkas are aware of the talent Ozyakup possesses and any move would cost Wenger around £15million.
