Schurrle has claimed he did not receive Jose Mourinho’s full backing
Andre Schurrle has hit out at Jose Mourinho for not backing him.
Schurrle joined Chelsea back in 2013 but he departed just eighteen months later to join Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
“At the end I just wanted the transfer”
He claims that one of the key reasons he left Stamford Bridge is because of Jose Mourinho and the lack of support from him. He told the Express: “I definitely did not fail at Chelsea. I always had my chance, scored important goals in the first season.
“At the end I just wanted the transfer, although Jose Mourinho wanted me to stay but I did not feel the complete backing.”
Even though he didn’t make as many appearances as he would like, he did manage to bag himself eleven goals during his time at the club.
