Despite losing their first game of the season yesterday, Chelsea received a massive title-boost with Sergio Aguero forced off during Manchester City’s 1-0 victory over Everton.
The Argentine was removed from the game early on after picking up a knee injury, and the star-man was forced off the pitch in tears, with Manuel Pellegrini confirming that it’s his ligaments that have been damaged.
The club aren’t sure how bad the injury is, but Aguero’s reactions makes you think it’s a bad one which will come as a massive blow for their title-chances.
City secured the three points which puts them just three behind Chelsea, but an injury to Aguero could all-but rule out any real title-chase, giving Chelsea a massive upper-hand, despite their 2-1 loss at St James Park.
