Pep Guardiola reveals Sergio Aguero might not play his part in the next two Premier League matches including the crucial clash against Chelsea.

City didn’t have any problem as without the service of Aguero they registered a comfortable 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in the last match. Gabriel Jesus will be an automatic choice to lead the Sky Blues and was a part of the lineup that faced the Cherries. Although he was far from impressive this season he is likely to be given a couple of chances to prove his worth.

Aguero suffered a muscle injury and it is not yet clear how long the Argentine international needs to recover completely. With a number of fixtures piling up in December Guardiola would likely to have the maximum number of players at his disposal.

The boss said, “The doctors told me (on Friday) Sergio cannot play. If he plays, maybe it’s four or five weeks off. In that situation, this month, with a lot of games, he was not safe.”

“Right now, I’m not quite sure.

“We’ll see. That’s why I said before day by day we see. I speak with the doctors every day, they make a report and a briefing. They say ‘ready’ or ‘not ready’ and we decide.”
