Sherwood puts Europa League win before a Champions League spot.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has stated that a Europa League win would be more a better achievement than reaching the Champions League at the end of the current campaign.

Spurs will be looking to advance to the next stage of Europe’s second tier competition, and face a tough trip to the Ukraine, were they face Dnipro on Thurday Evening.

And Sherwood has now stated that a Europa League triumph would look better on his CV, rather than that Champions League spot that Tottenham crave.

‘We have seen that down the years, a lot of managers have won this and gone on to bigger and better things. It is the priority of the club to win both – the place in the Champions League and the Europa League.

‘We believe that we have a big enough squad to do that. Certainly, though Anyone who will tell you that winning trophies doesn’t look best on the CV would be lying to you”.

Tottenham are still currently in the hunt for fourth place spot, with the Lilywhites currently sitting in fifth place, three points behind Liverpool.
