Wesley Sneijder may consider a move to the Premier League, according to his agent.
The Dutchman is undergoing a torrid time in Turkey with Galatasaray as of late, first being shunted to the bench by manager Cesare Prandelli for the club’s 3-0 loss to Trabzonspor.
Then came news that the club have failed to pay his wages for a few months, and tax problems that are seeing his pay substantially reduced.
Sneijder insists that he is happy at the Turkish club, but his agent said he may reconsider his position if he fails to reclaim his spot in the starting line up.
Guido Albers told Bugun TV:
“Today, we plan on talking to the club to get their thoughts on the future of Wesley. I do not know why he is not playing.
“He wants to stay, but nobody likes to be on the bench so we will see…”
The news of Sneijder’s possible availability may alert Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, and his Manchester United counterpart Louis Van Gaal, both of whom he has played under in the past.
