Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has criticised the scheduling of the La Liga fixtures to be “funny”. The Galacticos have had a mixed season so far in the domestic stage in the race for supremacy in the La Liga. They are currently trailing the league leaders Barcelona by 12 points and the second-placed Atletico Madrid by two points.
Speaking in the pre-match press conference ahead of their match against Levante, the Argentine gaffer said, “The calendar is funny. We don’t choose to play in these different circumstances, but we’re going to take it as a big challenge.”
Speaking about the new star of the team, Vinicius Jr, who has thrived well under the tutelage of Solari this season and have dished out a number of delectable displays, Solari said, “He has scored goals and he will score many more. Every week he learns new things. He’s surrounded by the best people to keep improving.”
The Real Madrid manager also stressed on the threat that Levante might carry in the next match against his side. He said, “They’re a very quick team and we’ve seen that before. We have to be awake from the first minute. We need to be aggressive without the ball and when we are trying to find a way to score.”
