Solskjaer says that United can build their game around Pogba
Paul Pogba starred in United’s latest 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Boxing Day as the Frenchman scored a brace in the second half to seal the game for the Red Devils. And caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Pogba is a world class player and that United can build their play around him.
Pogba made the headlines for the wrong reasons due to altercations with former manager Jose Mourinho which took a toll in his performances as well. The Frenchman was sparingly used by the Special One towards the end of his reign but he has now come into his own under Solskjaer, putting in solid performances in both the games.
Manchester United will once again look up to Pogba as they get ready to face Bournemouth at home on Sunday and the Red Devils can dream of securing a top-four finish if the Frenchman continues to fire on all cylinders.
And, asked if United can build around Pogba, Solskjaer told a media conference ahead of their clash with Bournemouth: “I think Paul is a top, top player. One of the top players in the world attacking wise.
“He’s a big lad, he can win headers and tackles. He’s been the same as the others, to be fair. The attitude has been perfect and that’s key – you should be tired towards the end of every single game.
“He’s been top class. He’s someone we’re looking to build the team around of course, but we’ve got many quality players.”
