Steven Gerrard Slams Rangers Player After Playing Out A Goalless Draw With St Johnstone

Steven Gerrard has slammed his Rangers players following their disappointing goalless draw with St Johnstone.

Rangers have been riding on a high since Gerrard took over the charge in the summer and the former Liverpool midfielder has introduced a crisp and clear vision at the Ibrox.

Despite being his first managerial job, Gerrard has impressed with his quick thinking and innovative ideas. The Gers were supposed to push Celtic in the title race following their 1-0 win over Celtic in December last year but have failed to take advantage of the situation.

Celtic have opened up an eight point gap over their 1-0 win over Kilmarnock and Gers manager Gerrard insists their chances of winning the title is looking very slim. “Right now forget titles and forget closing gaps, the reality is to perform like that across the board in front of 50,000, well there’s your evidence…,

“You don’t need me to say this, that or the other.

“If you have a group of lads and they give you that when they’ve got the chance to close the gap to three points, when you have Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and the rest breathing down your neck, that’s not what’s required at Rangers when you’ve got the chance to close the gap. You’re miles away from it.”
