Swansea City have completed the signing of Jonathan De Guzman on a season-long loan for the second consecutive year.
The Villarreal midfielder spent a hugely successful first year in South Wales helping the club to a top half finish and its first ever major trophy.
The 25 year old ended the season with 8 goals including a brace in the Capital One Cup win at Wembley, earning him his first international cap for Holland.
The signing of De Guzman is The Swans 3rd of the Summer and will provide a massive boost for manager Michael Laudrup who had earlier questioned the ambition of the club after seemingly missing out on a host of transfer targets including Iago Aspas, who joined Liverpool.
Chairman Huw Jenkins said “Everyone is happy the loan is continuing. Then Jonathan will review his long-term future next summer.”
