Szczesny warns Liverpool to expect the real Arsenal in FA Cup Tie

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has warned Liverpool to ‘expect the real Arsenal’ in their oncoming FA Cup tie on Sunday.

The reds thrashed the Gunners last weekend 5-1 at Anfield, seemingly sending out a message to the rest of the league that they are surely still contenders for a potential nineteenth league title.

But Arsenal will surely be seeking revenge on Sunday following the result. The Gunners have beaten Liverpool in the last three FA Cup ties, so they will be looked at as favourites.

The Arsenal shotstopper has insisted there won’t be a repeat of the result of Brendan Rodger’s Liverpool, who went on to say:

“It will be a big game for us as we conceded five against them in the last game and it was very humiliating”

“We want to recover as soon as possible and this is a good chance playing them again the next week’,”

“I would like to say that it was a one off, but there have been too many of them heavy defeats (Manchester City 6-3 Arsenal)”

The Polish goalkeeper then told reporter that he thinks it is out of their (Arsenal’s) system, after they improved defensively against Manchester United in a 0-0 result on Wednesday.

Arsenal’s failure to beat David Moyes’ side has left Chelsea at the top of the league with one point, due to Manchester City’s game against Sunderland being postponed due to poor weather.

Liverpool, on the other hand, snatched three points away from Fulham after a dramatic finish resulted in a 3-2 win. Liverpool are now four pour points behind leaders Chelsea with Tottenham three points behind in fifth.

Szczensy then said that the title race is turning into a fascinating battle.

“It will be tight, but that is more exciting. Every game seems that little more important, especially in the games between the top four,” he said.

“it will be a very good end to the season. I am not suprised that it is this close because there are a lot of quality teams.”
