West Ham wonderkid Reece Oxford has put Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal on red alert after failing to agree professional terms with the club.
The defender, 16, rose to prominence while captaining England U17’s at the European Championships last summer, and is tipped as one of the hottest prospects in England right now.
West Ham were keen to sign him professionally but the two parties could not agree on a deal. That has encouraged United and the others to make a move to bring Oxford in, with minimum compensation owed to West Ham compared to if the player was under contract.
Where the talented youngster will end up remains to be seen, but he will have no shortage of options.
