Timothy Fosu-Mensah is Manchester United’s fastest player, according to the club’s Under 18s captain Ro-Shaun Williams.

Fosu-Mensah, 18, made his first-team debut under Louis van Gaal last term but is yet to make an appearance under Jose Mourinho this season.

Williams has not made his senior debut just yet despite performing impressively this year.

He broke a 25-year-old school 100 metre record held by Olympic gold medal winner Darren Campbell back in 2014, but he says he is not the fastest player at Old Trafford.

“We do speed testing and there are quite a lot of fast players in the squad.” Williams told manutd.com.

“Tim [Fosu-Mensah] is fast, Axel [Tuanzebe] and Marcus [Rashford] – all of them are very fast so we have quite a good competition between us. We do it in the gym.

“Am I the quickest? No, Tim is probably the fastest.” he added.
