Tom Ince rejects Inter move

Tom Ince has rejected the chance to join Inter Milan. The 22-year old looked set to emulate his father by moving to Italy, but he has instead decided to turn down Inter because he would rather stay in the Premier League.

The winger was in talks with the Serie A side last month and he was offered two different contracts, whilst he was also shown around the stadium and training ground. But after mulling it over, the player has decided to stay in England. He said: “After lengthy discussions with my family I have decided that my immediate future in the game lies in the Premier League.

“I am flattered to have received such strong interest from several big European clubs. But I believe at this early stage of my career I need to continue my football education in England. I would like to thank the clubs overseas for their interest and kindness. I still have ambitions to one day play in Europe. I am now looking forward to what lies ahead next season”

It has put Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle on high alert, with the clubs set to battle it out for his signature. Stoke, Swansea and Hull were all interested back in January too and could now rekindle their interest in Ince. Monaco however have pulled out of the running because of the winger’s rejection of a move away from England.

It could cost any interested team about ÂŁ5m for his services.
