Tottenham Hotspur Agree Personal Terms With €70m Target

The latest reports claim that Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso has agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have offered the midfielder £150,000-per-week wages but are far from deciding on his transfer fee, as per Estadio Deportivo.

Mauricio Pochettino has been desperate to add to his midfield ranks ever since the past season got over. He had to field a particularly weaker lineup of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko when he did not have Mousa Dembele, Victor Wanyama or Eric Dier.

The Argentine boss has already broken the club’s transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele this summer. Tottenham have also invested in rising winger, Jack Clarke.

Now, it would be sublime if they could add Lo Celso to their already stacked squad. The 23-year-old has stared for Betis this past season, collecting 16 goals and 6 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

He also took part in all of Argentina’s Copa America games only to impress further and get his asking price raised from €40m to €70m. Tottenham just shelled out €62m for Ndombele and another €12-13m for Clarke.

They are not sure of breaking their transfer record twice within the same window. However, the fact that Betis are open to selling the player is a good sign.
