Tottenham Hotspur became the first club in Premier League history not to sign any players in the summer transfer window and 6-months later the club is ready to offload £75m worth of talent.

It must be nice to have so much talent to dispose off but Mauricio Pochettino might just be making way for newer faces. Mousa Dembele is coming off an ankle injury with his contract set to end after this season.

The 31-year-old used to Pochettino’s leading defensive figure in midfield but was surprisingly pulled into transfer talks last season. Offers have been coming in from a lot of European outfits as AS Monaco and Inter Milan look to secure a deal.

Victor Wanyama, while an early impressor, has seen his Tottenham career get blighted by recurring injuries. His contract is set to run till the summer of 2021 and Pochettino might just be able to extract the most value out of him.

Vincent Jansson is returning from a foot injury but has mostly been a flop at North London and so has Georges Kevin-Nkoudou. Academy products like Kyle Walker-Peters, Juan Foyth and Oliver Skipp has offered Pochettino a lot of squad depth due to their confident displays upon introduction to the senior team.

Giving them more playing time and helping them develop into the club’s system is the best way forward while also reinvesting the transfer fees in newer faces.
