Mauricio Pochettino wants the midfielder at White Hart Lane next season
Tottenham are keen to sign Lassana Diarra this summer, according to reports.
The midfielder has become one of Marseille’s best players and has rejuvenated his career back at the French club. The 31-year old has spent some time in Russia in recent years but it is back in his country where he is beginning to impress again.
After some impressive performances this season, the midfielder has alerted Tottenham, who are now keeping tabs on him. They are quite keen to do a deal for the Frenchman and plan to launch a bid for him when the summer transfer window opens.

However, Spurs face some competition from Man United, who are also believed to be keeping an eye on the situation. It is widely expected that Jose Mourinho will take the managerial job at Old Trafford come the end of the season and the Special One is reportedly eager to work with Diarra once again.
Mourinho and Diarra worked together at Real Madrid and they could be set for a reunion at the Red Devils should Mourinho end up taking over.
But, until that is confirmed, it looks like Tottenham have the upper hand, with Mauricio Pochettino already plotting a move for the midfielder.
