Tottenham Ready To Beat PSG’s £67m Offer For Dutch Starlet

The Daily Mirror has reported on Tottenham Hotspur’s rising interest in Dutch wonderkid, Frenkie de Jong.

Spurs are fearful of losing Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid which has prompted them to go all in for the 21-year-old Ajax man. The Galacticos are going through a slump after the departures of both Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo and are ready to make necessary changes in club personnel.

Reports claim that Florentino Perez is lining up a £100m offer for Eriksen who has been stalling from signing the contract extension offered to him by Spurs. The Dane has just one more season left in his current deal and Mauricio Pochettino might have to start entertaining offers in order to prevent losing the attacking midfielder for free.

De Jong is certainly a massive prospect coming out of the Netherlands who can fill into Eriksen’s shoes. The 21-year-old is not traditionally an attacking midfielder but certainly has the tools to develop into one.

He is calm on the ball and a hard tackler from both centre-back and deep-lying midfield positions. Tottenham are set to lose Mousa Dembele as well with Victor Wanyama struggling to return from his injury woes.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered £67m for De Jong with Ajax ready to sell to the highest bidder. If Eriksen is sold anytime soon, Pochettino will certainly use the money to go after the 5-time Dutch international.
