Manchester United have finally broken through in their quest to sign Juventus and Chile star Arturo Vidal.
It is understood that a ‘verbal agreement’ has been reached between United and Juventus over the transfer of Vidal in the coming days.
Vidal has reportedly agreed a bumper contract at Old Trafford, which will see him earn ÂŁ270,000 a week, with the Red Devils also handing over a whopping ÂŁ63.3m to Juventus.
The Chile star is expected to form a new partnership with new signing Ander Herrera in the heart of United’s midfield and form a solid base for manager Van Gaal to work around.
Vidal’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has been holding talks with cash-strapped Juventus over the past few days in an attempt to secure a move to England.
