Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham had a choice between Manchester United, Dortmund and Bayern Munich for a move.
He had been in talks with Manchester United and even visited Old Trafford recently. Additionally, heavy links were being attached with him to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
And it looks as though the Birmingham City youngster has made a choice. According to TransferMarkt, on Wednesday, the 16-year old midfielder gave out the announcement that he has picked Borussia Dortmund over Man United and Bayern. Although, it had seemed extremely likely earlier that the Birmingham City starlet would pick a Manchester United transfer, he changed his mind and decided to go for the Bundesliga side. His transfer will be completed in the summer and the player has launched into talks with Dortmund.
All three clubs were highly impressed with Bellingham, who showed great potential with 4 goals and 2 assists across 32 matches in the Championship this season. The promising young talent is currently priced at €12 million (£10.8m) after a stellar season – and his price saw a significant rise.
The reason behind the rejection of Old Trafford has not been revealed yet. For now, it definitely looks like he’ll be getting comfortable this summer at Signal Iduna Park – and a deal between the two clubs should be finalised soon.
