Agent of goalkeeper reveals plans to stay in Premier League

Manchester United outcast Victor Valdes wants to stay in the Premier League even if he does change clubs, according to his agent.

The veteran goalkeeper is out-of-favour at Old Trafford after falling out with Louis van Gaal during pre-season when he refused to play for the u21s.

Valdes wasn’t given a club suit or a squad number ahead of the new season, and was then banned from the first-team training facilities when the members of the first-team were present.

After his fall-out with the club, the Spaniard has been linked with shock moves to Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as Newcastle United.

Speaking about the goalkeeper’s future, his agent Gines Carvajal admitted that staying in the Premier League would be the ideal situation.

Valdes’ Agent Talks

“We will try to turn around the situation [in January]. It is logical and is what he wants,” Carvajal told Spanish radio station 4g.

“Nothing is clear at this moment because there are still two months [to the transfer window].

“The Premier League is attractive, he is adapted there so possibly he is going to stay in the Premier League but I don’t close doors anywhere.

“Although always we will depend on Manchester to let him to go.”
