Manchester City defender, Vincent Kompany, has confirmed he wouldn’t leave the club for anyall the money in the world.

The Belgium centre-back has been linked with a move to FC Barcelona in the past, but as he prepares to face the Spanish giants tonight, he has confirmed that he has no plans of leaving the Etihad Stadium.

According to some reports, Barca are prepared to splash ÂŁ60million on the centre-back, but he has told the Catalan club that no amount of money could make him leave City.

“I don’t plan to leave Manchester City,” said Kompany, who penned a new deal at the Etihad Stadium in 2014 worth ÂŁ30m.

“I can’t think of any club where I could have as much influence as I have here.

“I feel a bond with Manchester as a place, and with the fans. I would not even leave to join Barcelona.”
