Wenger has spoken about the possible shock move of Cech from rivals Chelsea to the Emirates and has categorically denied these claims.

Arsene who already has Wojciech Szczensy, David Ospina and Emiliano Martinez fighting for the number 1 spot has said they don’t need anybody else and have all the quality they need between the sticks.

Recent reports suggested that Cech, who has become 2nd choice keeper this term with Thiabut Courtois as the preferred choice, is looking for a way out of Stamford Bridge in a bid to get some regular playing time with Arsenal looking like a potential club ahead of the likes of Liverpool and Roma.

Jose Mourinho has also spoken about Petr Cech’s future and had also denied these reports after Mark Schwarzer transferred to Leicester.

Arsene Wenger was speaking to the press ahead of the Gunners tie with Stoke on Sunday and had this to say on the possible transfer;

 “Cech is at Chelsea, we already have three goalkeepers who for me are top class.

“There’s big competition going on here; I have no doubt that we already have the needed quality.”
