Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has left a move for Monaco forward Radamel Falcao out in the open after giving nothing away when questioned about the player.
Falcao has been made availible for loan after openly admitting that he hoped for a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid over the summer.
And now with Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud out for a lenghty spell on the sidelines, Arsene Wenger is ready to bring in the powerhouse Colombian to fill in the gap left by the injured Frenchman.
A £20 million loan-deal looks set to be in place with Arsenal now having a clear run at the player.
And when quizzed about Falcao to Arsenal links today, Wenger refused to rule it out.
It is very difficult. All negotiations have to be discussed secretly,’ he said.
‘If something happens, you will of course be informed.’
Wenger remains keen to have another striker on board before the close of the transfer deadline on Monday, and has been linked with a host of names.
