West Ham United Looking Into Loan Deal For Pereira

West Ham United are considering a loan approach towards Manchester United for 22-year-old midfielder, Andreas Pereira. Arsenal and Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the Brazilian but a move to the Hammers might be the best fit for him.

Pereira’s contract with the Red Devils is due to end after this season but the club does have the option of a year-long extension. The player himself has grown frustrated with the lack of playing time and has also declined a 3-year extension.

A loan spell away would be beneficial for both the club and the player. If United choose to exercise the player option, it would be in their best interest not to hinder Pereira’s development.

Jose Mourinho has featured Pereira sporadically in 6 games this season and mostly considers him behind players like Nemanja Matic, Fred, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini in the pecking order.

Pereira is a graduate of the United academy and made his senior debut against M. K. Dons in a 2014/15 League Cup match. He did spend the previous two seasons out on loan with Valencia and Granada.

He did impress fans with his quick feet and versatility early on in the season and even earned his first senior cap for Brazil this summer. With Manuel Pellegrini taking charge of the Hammers, Pereira could look to rejuvenate his career at the London Stadium.
