Striker doesn’t want to leave Manchester City

Wilfried Bony has confirmed he doesn’t want to leave Manchester City, despite what his agent has said in the press recently.

The Ivorian’s agent admitted that they may rethink his future over the summer if his game-time doesn’t increase at the Etihad Stadium, however Bony himself has claimed that is not the case.

Bony moved to City this time last year after they paid Swansea City around ÂŁ28million, but due to Sergio Aguero being the number-one striker, Bony has had to wait patiently for his opportunities.

The 27-year-old is desperate for more minutes in the first-team, but when speaking to the BBC, he confirmed that he wasn’t thinking about leaving the club.

Bony’s Happy

“I’m happy at the club, all the speculation is not true,” Bony said.

“I have a contract so I’m happy and I think I’m at one of the top clubs in the United Kingdom.”

“I have no regrets about joining Man City. We play in the Champions League and we’re one of the top clubs in the world. I’m happy here and I can just say I’m blessed.”

Bony has eight goals in 23 games this season for the Citizens, but has been back on the bench in recent weeks due to Aguero’s return to fitness.
