Willian Tells Chelsea Players To Be More Effective To Help Eden Hazard

Chelsea winger Willian feels other players need to contribute more to free Eden Hazard.

Hazard has been the star player for Chelsea this season as the Belgian has been in the thick of things so far. Manchester United players took a more physical approach to deal with the threat of Hazard.

The 27 year old drew the most number of fouls as he couldn’t play his natural game due to a strong monitoring by Ashley Young throughout the game. Jose Mourinho did manage to contain his old disciple pretty strongly but he failed to grind out a famous win as a Ross Barkley equaliser at the last moment salvaged a point for the Blues.

Hazard injured his back in the process and could miss the next match against Bate Borisov in the Europa League.  Willian said, “We know how important Hazard is for us, but we have a great team with a lot of quality players.

“Sometimes he can’t score or make an assist, that’s why we need the whole team. Sometimes he tries and it doesn’t work.

“The other players have to work together to try and do something with each other. Against Manchester United was like that. He tried to score, he tried to dribble.

“They put two-three players around him every time he had the ball and maybe that was why it was difficult for him.

“Will teams look to target him? Yes of course – when a game is like that they look at him, but it means others can find more space.”
