General manager Klaus Allofs has expressed his interest in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
Bayern have made two big signings this summer and both play as midfielders. This might threaten Gustavo’s game time next season and the player could leave in order to play regularly.
Although the Brazilian plays in a deeper midfield role it could still be difficult to grab a starting spot in the new manager Pep Guardiola’s team.
Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg have noted this and could make a move to sign him.
Allofs has spoken to BILD about the possible signing of Gustavo.
“If you are looking to improve your team, and if the player is available for transfer, you have to discuss the name of Luiz Gustavo. There is no doubt about that.
“We are interested in him and we have told his agent about that.”
