According to Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez, Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley are both good enough to play for the Spanish giants. The veterna midfielder has won countless numbers of awards for club, country and also individually too, while he has also played with the likes of Messi and Ronaldinho.
It shows that he now has a good knowledge of the beautiful game and he knows a top talent when he sees one – and he believes both Sterling and Barkley are full of talent. When he was asked if he thinks the two of them could play for Barca he said: “Yes, why not? I think that they could.
“They have incredible physical capabilities and they are good technically. In Spain, we prioritise players who are technically gifted but both things are very important in football.”
Barkley in recent times has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park but after signing a new-five year deal at the club it seemshighly unlikely he will be leaving anytime soon. The same could be said for Sterling, who will be staying at Anfield for the forseeable future.
