The agent of Dnipro midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka has dropped a major hint that he could be securing a deal with Premier League side Liverpool.
The Reds have been interested in the Ukranian for a while now and were very close to securing his signature in January, but the potential move collpased in the final minutes of deadline day, leaving Brendan Rodgers frustrated.
Officials from Liverpool were in Ukraine during January’s transfer deadline day, but they couldn’t move fast enough to secure a £16million deal for the midfielder.
However, it is believed that Rodgers is still interested in Konoplyanka, and after his agent made an interesting tweet earlier today, reports have broken that a Summer move could be on the cards between the two parties.
James Lippett, who is Konoplyanka’s agent Tweeted the following: ‘En route to Liverpool…’.
Whether this is to talk to officials at Anfield is unclear, but it has certaintly heated up transfer talk regarding the Ukrainian’s future.
