Klopp phone call convinces Pole on Anfield move

Piotr Zielinski will complete a Liverpool medical after Euro 2016 after his move to Anfield was sealed by a phone conversation with Jurgen Klopp, according to a report.

The Poland international is currently on international duty with his country and will remain in France at least until Thursday after the Poles booked their place in the quarter-finals with a penalty shootout win over Switzerland.

The fee is yet to be agreed between Liverpool and the Serie A club, but it is believed the price-tag will be in the region of £12million.

he 22-year-old spent the 2015-16 campaign on loan at Empoli, scoring five goals and providing six assists from midfield, and has reportedly turned down Napoli in favour of linking up with Klopp at Liverpool.

The German manager is thought to have assured Zielinski that he will be a major part of his starting eleven in the upcoming season despite the fact he will compete with current first teamers Emre Can, Philippe Coutinho and captain Jordan Henderson for a place in the centre of the park.
