Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has said that Raphael Varane will stay at the club. One of the best defenders in the world, Varane from French club Lens and has made 279 appearances for the club so far, scoring 12 goals and providing 6 assists.
Varane has made 40 appearances for Los Blancos this season, scoring 2 goals. The Frenchman’s contract at Real Madrid expires in 2022 but there have been several reports linking him to a move away from the club. However, Zinedine Zidane doesn’t think so.
The Real Madrid manager said after Real’s loss to Rayo Vallecano, “The positive point of this season finale is that Varane will stay.”
Several clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea have been interested in signing Varane. However, Zidane doesn’t feel that he will leave. If Zidane’s verdict turns out to be true, then Real Madrid fans will certainly breathe a sigh of relief.
