Chelsea are set to complete a deal to sign St Etienne centre back Kurt Zouma, with the French youngster set to move to the Bridge in the summer.

Mourinho has agreed a fee with the Ligue 1 side for the highly rated 19 year old, in what is considered a real bargain capture.

Zouma will now stay in France until the end of the current campaign, after the deal has been tied up.

The Under 21 international has been scouted by many of europe’s top clubs, including Manchester City, Juventus, Paris St Germain and Real Madrid, however, it appears that Zouma has opted for a move to West London.

The move looks set to bring a curtain down on John Terry’s Chelsea career, with the former England captain free to talk to other clubs, with interest from various MLS sides, with Terry considering a move to the United States.

Mourinho has made no secret of the fact he would like to keep Terry but fears he could lose his captain because of the strict club policy to offer one-year contract extensions to all players over 30, with Terry several years over that line.

David Luiz has also seen his future come under question at the Bridge, with both Bayern Munich and Barcelona ready to submit a mega money move for the Brazilian.

The feisty Zouma was banned for ten games in November following a horror tackle, which left Thomas Guerbert with a broken leg, and a dislocated ankle.
