According to Sports Direct News, Pellegrini’s side has nearly completed the deal to bring two Porto players to the Etihad.

Porto are renouned for making big profits from investments in relatively unknown talents, and it looks like the Portugese side may well be ready to receive more money as City are on the verge of signing 22 year old Frenchman Eliaquim Mangala and Brazilian midfielder, Fernando.

Pellegrini is clearly willing to splash the cash as the Mangala deal alone will reportedly cost ÂŁ32m, a move which will help City sure up their defence as they push for the premier League crown.

Fernando had been linked with a move to both Liverpool and AC Milan, but City are reportedly looking to fight for the Brazilian’s signature. They will be looking to secure a pre-contract deal that would see him move to the Etihad on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

In addition to the deal, Porto will also reportedly take teenager Marcos Lopes on loan until the end of the season.
