Reasons For Manchester United vs West Brom predictions & Betting Tips

The Manchester United squad are favourites to win this match at 1.60 with bet365, with home side West Brom priced at 6.50 with bet365 to take the three points on Sunday.

The Hawthorns is a notoriously difficult ground to take points from in the Premier League, but given that the Baggies have not won since August it’s hard to see their run ending against United.

Jose Mourinho’s team, although 13 points behind leaders Manchester City, have been much improved this season and are solid in defence and attack. This is the type of game they are skilled at grinding out results in.

After their loss in the derby last week, they bounced back against Bournemouth with a 1-0 win on Wednesday, the much-maligned Romelu Lukaku scoring the only goal of the match to earn an important three points.

Despite West Brom’s wretched run, we think they have the talent to take the three points here at 1.60 with bet365. It won’t be easy, but we could see United battling to a 1-0 win at 6.50 with bet365.

First goalscorer is a tough one to predict. With just one goal in the league so far this season, it’s about time Juan Mata got on the scoresheet. He assisted Lukaku’s winner on Wednesday night.

His quality from midfield could be what is needed to separate the teams, and at 9.00 with Unibet he is a much better price than most of United’s other attacking players to open the scoring.

Manchester United vs West Brom Form

Manchester United face struggling West Brom side at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon. The home side are on a winless run of 16 matches, although they did manage a draw away at Liverpool in midweek.

Manchester United Form

After their derby defeat, Man Utd are 13 points behind leaders and local rivals City but they returned to winning ways with a 1-0 success against Bournemouth on Wednesday. They will want to keep on winning in case the citizens slip up.

Manchester United Form: WLWWWW

West Brom Form

August 22nd, that’s the last time West Brom won a match in any competition. They are 16 games without a win, and after Tony Pulis was sacked, new manager Alan Pardew will want to get off the mark soon or he could come under pressure as well.

West Brom Form: DLDDDL

Jose Mourinho still has a number of injuries to deal with. Defensive pair Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo are likely to miss out, as well as Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick in midfield. Paul Pogba will serve the last of a three match suspension.
