Neymar has revealed that he would love to play for Brazilian giants Flamengo in the future.

The 25-year-old started his professional career at Santos before moving to Spain back in 2013, but he has aims to return to Brazil.

Barcelona’s fan favourite has been heavily linked with moves away from the Nou Camp recently, with Manchester United keeping tabs on the Brazilian, but the winger dreams of playing in the Maracana.

The well-known stadium holds a capacity of 80,000 and international matches regularly take place there as well as the Copa Libertadores competition.

Neymar admitted he would love to play in front of the Brazilian crowd every week.

“I have a lot of desire to one day play for Flamengo, with the Maracana full, playing in the Copa Libertadores,” Neymar told Canal Esporte Interativo.

“I still have strong sentiments towards Santos.

“But they went to court against me and I still don’t know why. There is a lot the people don’t know about.

“All that’s missing is for the club to claim I wanted to score an own goal in favour of Barcelona during the [2011] Club World Cup.”

Since moving to Barcelona, Neymar has proved his worth and has two La Liga wins to his name as well as lifting the Champions League in 2015.

The Brazil international has been in fine form this term, scoring 15 goals and grabbing 25 assists.
