Time is catching up with the all-time top-scorer for Chelsea Football Club Frank Lampard.
Lampard, Who is now on the books of MLS side New York City, has now ruled out a return to the Premier League.
The Ex-Chelsea Captain who took the Blues to victory on that famous night in the Allianz Arena, in Munich, is now 37-years-old and although he played a season for Manchester City, The veteran is honest enough to accept that his ageing body needs some rest.
Talking to the Standard Frank has spoken about his injuries in the MLS and his future plans:
‘I wish I could have not had the injuries, but every player has to accept that injuries come along sometimes.
‘My aim now is to manage myself well for next season, to finish this season on a high, have some breaks at times, but keep ticking over, have a really good pre-season and throw everything into next year.’
Maybe in time Frank will make it back to Stamford Bridge in another capacity.
