Swansea, Southampton and Crystal Palace interested

Three Premier League clubs are monitoring Loic Remy’s situation at Chelsea ahead of a possible Summer bid.

The Frenchman only moved to Stamford Bridge from Queens Park Rangers last year in a deal worth ÂŁ8million, but due to Diego Costa arriving at the same time, Remy‘s first-team opportunities have been limited.

Remy’s Struggles at Chelsea

Remy has been used as a backup striker to Costa and only managed to start six Premier League games under Jose Mourinho throughout their title-winning campaign.

According to reports, the 28-year-old is currently considering his future which has sparked interest from a trio of Premier League clubs.

Interested Parties and Remy Replacement

Crystal Palace, Swansea City and Southampton are all reportedly interested in signing the striker and could all make formal offers to Chelsea over the Summer period.

Whether Chelsea want to sell however is another thing. After losing Didier Drogba, The Blues only have Costa and Remy at the club as recognised striker, meaning Mourinho is less likely to sell the second-string option.

However, according to numerous reports, Chelsea are on the brink of signing Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco on a season-long loan, which would push Remy down to third-choice, meaning his game-time would be further limited.

Despite his woeful season at Manchester United, Mourinho is a massive admirer of Falcao and would love to have him at The Bridge as the two clubs continue to discuss a potential deal.

If Chelsea and Monaco do strike a deal, that could push Remy out of the door.

Clubs Willing to Pay Contract

It’s believed none of the interested parties are put off by the striker’s ÂŁ80k-a-week contract, meaning a deal could go through without any stumbling blocks.
