Top 10 Worst stadiums in world football
There are some really nice and elegant football stadiums but then there are those stadiums that just look like they’ve been bombed. So here are the Top 10 worst stadiums in world football.
SillySeason look at ten of the worst stadiums in world football. Watch & Bet on Football =>
10) Macron Stadium – Bolton Wanderers
Look at how modern they tried to make the then Reebok stadium! It isn’t quite the Etihad or Emirates… Better luck next time! Bolton Wanderers will want to improve their stadium if they’re to ever get promoted to the Premier League again!
9) Stadium MK – MK Dons
No pubs nearby. No atmosphere in the stadium owing to the fact that it is only ever a quarter full. Franchise.
8) Selhurst Park – Crystal Palace
The view in the away end is shocking. It is a tight squeeze to say the least and some complain that the roof leaks.
7) The EBB Stadium – Aldershot Town
Once known as the Recreation Ground, this stadium is not the place where a fan wants to be – due to the massive ugly building towering the pitch and the overgrown trees near the corners.
6) Sandygate Road – Hallam FC
The home of Hallam FC near Sheffield. It is well-known for being the world’s oldest stadium and it attracts tourists regularly – but just look at that stand.
5) Blundell Park – Grimsby Town
Blundell Park is now in its 117th year and it is still on the ground – somehow. The fish and chips are a good treat but the coastal winds leave rubbish scattered on the pitch.
4) Bayview Stadium – East Fife
The ground was opened in the Scottish town of Methil, Fife in 1998. It only holds 2,000 supporters and it was overshadowed by the enormous Methil power station until 2011 when it was demolished.
3) Dens Park – Dundee & Tannadice Park – Dundee United
The grounds are separated by just 250 yards. The players walk to each other’s ground when they play them away! But just imagine having to look at your rivals’ ground every time you look at yours.
2) Priestfield Stadium – Gillingham FC
Many away fans complain about its facilities and woeful catering but the main low about this place is that there is no roof or shelter whatsoever in the away end. Oh, away fans also have to make do with Portakabin toilets.
1) Kenilworth Road – Luton Town
This ‘stadium’ has been home to Luton Town for 111 years. The ground has had hardly any investment pumped into it and visiting fans have to go walk through terraced houses and a fire escape which overlook people’s back yards. Who came up with this idea? It’s the worst of our Worst stadiums in world football list.
