After a high-flying finish last season, Southampton fell to Earth with a bump after being knocked out of the Europa League in the qualifying round, and haven’t managed to hit the same heights as last season in this campaign. They’re sat in a comfortable 12th, and have enjoyed some ups and downs in all competitions this season, and with the players they’ve lost should be satisfied with their progress this year.
