Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac could be the subject of a transfer deadline-day battle between both Arsenal and Liverpool, the Telegraph have reported.
The 29-year-old has become a prime target for both Premier League sides, and Inter Milan, who have joined the race for the Frenchman, according to Italian media reports.
Gignac’s current deal at the Stade Velodrome expires this summer, something which has alerted several of the European top sides, with Liverpool reportedly in the driving seat ahead of Monday’s deadline drama.
However, Arsenal are ready to match Liverpool, should they submit a late bid for Gignac.
The France international is poised to become a free-agent in the summer, and Marseille could cash in on their in-form striker, who has netted 14 goals in 23 games for his club side this season.
