Zenit St Petersburg manager, Andre Villas-Boas, has rubbished reports linking him with replacing Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

The Portuguese is just one of the names on an ever-growing list as Rodgers’ job comes under scrutiny at Anfield, but the former-Spurs and Chelsea boss has moved quickly to rubbish the reports by stating he is happy in Russia.

Villas-Boas is about to guide Zenit to yet another Russian title, and he has admitted that he has no plans on returning to England in the near-future.

‘I’m very happy at Zenit. Returning to England is not in my plans,’ he said.

Liverpool have a massive tie in the Champions League tonight at home to FC Basel, where they need a win to secure their qualification to the last-16 stage.

If The Reds fail to get out of their group stage, pressure on Rodgers would continue to grow, with his side currently sitting ninth in the Premier League.
