The two winners of the October awards have been revealed

Manager of the Month

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for October.

The Frenchman guided the Gunners to four wins out of four throughout the month; such form has put them joint-top of the table, only behind league leaders Manchester City on goal difference.

Arsenal secured a trio of 3-0 victories against Manchester United (home), Watford (away) and Swansea City (home). They also saw off Everton at the Emirates Stadium with a 2-1 win.

Wenger has now won 15 Manager of the Month awards, meaning that United legend Sir Alex Ferguson is the only person to have won more.

The 66-year old beat Leicester City chief Claudio Ranieri to the trophy, who won three out of four in October with his buoyant Foxes.

Player of the Month

Leicester star Jamie Vardy has scooped the Premier League Player of the Month award for October.

Vardy scored five league goals in four games throughout the month, which has earned him yet another England call-up by Roy Hodgson for this week’s friendlies against Spain and France.

The 28-year old is currently the top scorer in England’s top flight and has scored in nine consecutive games, one match short of Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s record.

The ex-Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town striker will be looking the match the Dutchman’s record after the international break, when his team take on struggling Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
