Blues boss Antonio Conte has explained why his actions over the weekend frustrated Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
With Chelsea 4-0 up and heading for an easy victory, Conte gestured over to the Blues supporters to make more noise.
Mourinho spoke to the Italian for at least 30 seconds before heading down the tunnel at the final whistle,.
It has been claimed that the United boss told Conte his actions were humilating.
However, Conte maintains he was only trying to get the Chelsea fans to show appreciation to the teams performance.
He told Sky Sports:
“I was listening to the support of Manchester United, always supporting their team and I was asking my team to do a clap for my players.
“All the players deserves this clap.”
