Arsene Wenger wants Russian star Aleksandr Kokorin added to his attacking frontline

The interest comes amid many injuries picked up by The Gunners’ strike force this campaign.

Arsene Wenger has hinted towards the signing of Russian striker Aleksandr Kokorin ahead of the re-opening of the transfer window next month as his side step up their challenge for the Premier League title this season.

According to France Football, Arsenal have concurred a £4.4m deal with Dynamo Moscow for their frontman Kokorin.

However, it was added that the transfer will only happen should The Gunners suffer another injury setback.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been forced to cope with several injuries incurred to his strikers.

Theo Walcott has spent spells on the sidelines while Danny Welbeck has not played a single minute.

The England striker is hoping to be back in February after picking up previous injuries throughout his Arsenal career.
